The past weekend, Royal, Jayden, and I stayed at a friend’s cabin in Grayland. We knew the weather was suppose to be rainy, so we planned on staying indoors most of the time, but we hoped we would get a break in the rain and be able to go to the beach for a little bit. And low and behold, during one of Jayden’s naps, the clouds parted and the sun came out. So, as soon as Jayden woke up, we bundled him up (b/c it was freezing out) and headed to the beach. The cabin we were staying in was only 4 blocks off the beach, but Royal thought it would be a good idea to drive where we could park closer to the beach incase it started raining, and some clouds had started to come back in, so I agreed. We jumped in the car and headed down the road to where we could find some beach access. We got out of the car, walked down to the beach and as I looked over the water there was this huge, dark (pretty much black) cloud moving towards us. I was like, ‘ooo, that’s not going to be good’, but it hadn’t started raining yet, so we decided to stay. We weren’t there 5 minutes and we started getting hit by rain drops, so we started heading for the car. Seconds later, it was no longer rain, we were getting pelted by chunks of hail! We started to run back to the car, and we tried to protect Jayden as best we could, but sadly he got hit a few times in the face by ice pellets. As Royal was getting him buckled into his car seat, he said that Jayden was looking at him with this expression of, ‘What the hell was that? You guys are the worst parents ever.’ Needless to say, we didn’t leave the cabin for the rest of the weekend. :)
Here is a picture of a happy Jayden on the way to the beach

I think he saw what was coming…
