“Clean Up On Aisle 13, Please”

Tonight, my child was “that” child.  The wild one at the grocery store, running around crazy.  I needed to get some food, so there was no choice in the matter that I was going to the store.  But it has been rainy all day here, so Royal wanted to come with Jayden and let him expend some energy running through the aisles.  We do this often at Costco on rainy days because the store is so big, you usually aren’t in anybody’s way.  :)  Anywho, I was making my way through the store, and Jayden and Royal were off running around, Jayden carrying a bag of lemons - one of his new favorites foods.  I hear over the intercom, “Clean up on aisle 13, please”.  I was thinking, hope it’s nothing big, ’cause that’s the direction I’m heading.  A few minutes later, Royal comes up behind me with Jayden and said, “You’ll never guess what Jayden did”.  Well turns out, Royal turned his back for a second, and when he turned back around, Jayden had opened a carton of eggs and was dropping them one by one onto the floor, just like on starfall’s letter E.  He was very proud of himself.  I thought it was hilarious.  I come around the corner, and they have it all coned off, eggs all over the floor, and some highschool kid with a mop cleaning it up.

Royal did find someone to tell them what happened, and said that we would buy the carton of eggs, but the lady told him not to worry about it.  That it happens all the time.  She said they lose about 4 dozen eggs a day!

Congrats! An awesome memory maker. Did you get a picture of it? I love the part where it’s a teen age boy doing the clean up! Cracks me up (so to speak).

I am fairly certain that he was doing what is known in industry as a drop test. The eggs obviously did not pass inspection. Someone needs to look into this matter immediately.
