Art Afternoon
Jayden has really been wanting to paint lately. He keeps grabbing my pastry brush out of the kitchen and painting the windows and walls with it. My guess is he picked up the idea from when there were workers in the house touching up the walls and stuff. So, today because it was nearing 100 degrees with 60% humidity, and I just couldn’t get myself to put on a bathing suit and walk the half a mile to the pool, we went to Target and a school supply store and picked up some art supplies. I happened to have a little table easel and an art board from back in the day when I liked to pretend I was an artist, and thanks to my ability to not throw anything away, it has come in real handy! So, I put a little tarp down to protect the carpet from Jayden and wild paint, set up the easel on his table and let him do some painting and then some pictures with markers. He loved it!
Jayden you are an artist for sure! I love your paintings and drawings…i see light and life and laughter in them…..keep up the good work and if you follow in your mother’s footsteps you might do a design or two on the wall!!!! Just remember, don’t write your own name when you do it!
Love and miss you all the time…..

What a way to beat the heat, Rachel! You’re letting the creative juices flow instead of the sweat! :) I’m all for saving stuff “just in case” too.
Great art work Jayden! I like how you got the markers to look like they are skidding…how did you do that? It’s really cool!
I think of you guys often, and of course say a prayer along with the thoughts.
Love you!
The little man is definitely taking after his mother, that is a good thing.
